Welcome to Vagabondo, Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica.
HELLO, WE ARE MARCO AND LUCA we arrived to Costa Rica in 1996 on a cross-country vacation.
When we visited La Fortuna, San Carlos we were awed by the beauty of the nature, the crystal waters of the river and waterfall, the incredible variety of animals, and the powerfull Arenal Volcano, which offered spectacular eruptions every half an hour.
Once in town, where the population was less than 1OOO, we were impressed by the simplicity, curiosity, and kindness of the people. Seeing that it was growing as a touristic town, and drawing on our experienced Italian cuisine, we decided to open an Italian restaurant and pizzeria. We builded an all-wood building, using almond, then it was very accessible, and now it is considered a precious wood. Our restaurantbecame distinguished from the others of the region; because of our specialty in true Mediterranean pizza using imported Italian ingredients and our famous wood-burning oven so that none of the flavor is unauthentic Over the years, we have grown to include ourr hotel, bar, souvenir, and all of our current services.
